At 3:00 a.m., Garfield creator, Jim Davis, wakes to find he fell asleep in his pool of money again. As he struggles to lift his girth out of the pool, he receives paper cuts from stacks of hundred dollar bills. Finally out of the pool, he looks back at his money, now bloodied, and comes up with another idea for his Garfield strip. Two days later Davis dies of a thousand infections.
